Next Stop; Dixie

This weekend is the first event of the SCCA National Tour down in Adel, Georgia.  The Dixie Tour event will begin Friday with test and tune driving and technical inspection and continue with two days of competition on Saturday and Sunday.  The lowest combined fastest time from Saturday and fastest from Sunday wins.

Hard to see, but the car is now sporting a black front lip spoiler.
This is the first time I'm competing at a national level event and it should be a ton of fun.  Jason proved the car is back in fighting shape on Sunday, placing 2nd overall in PAX for SCR but we had a few minor items to address for this coming weekend.  First was a front lip spoiler and second was a new trunk lid with a spoiler/wing so we could meet the requirements of the SCCA stock class by keeping the full options package on the car.
The red paint on the trunk lid doesn't match the rest of the car at all, but hey, it's not going to make the car slower, so we'll fix it later!

I did some pretty terrible spray work with red plasti-dip on the trunk, but it'll get us through this weekend.  The car also got it's first oil change since the motor build and other than slapping a few more stickers on it Friday, it's ready to compete! Next stop, Dixie.
