Alfa Romeo Formula 1 driver Kimi Raikkonen is involved with a contest where YOU could design his racing shoes for an upcoming race. Check it out at this link: KIMI CREATOR CHALLENGE

Just in case you don't know anything about him, Kimi is most experienced (most races) driver in Formula 1 history. He come from Finland, and is also well known for not talking much. In one race some years ago, he was leading the race, a few laps from the end, when his engineer got on the radio to give him all kinds of info on the car behind him. Kimi's famous radio reply was along the lines of "Leave me alone, I know what to do." 

Mr. Raikkonen is the last Ferrari driver to win a world championship, so I imagine he's still a big hero in Italy. He's also driven for the Sauber and the Lotus teams, as well as McLaren and Sauber. With race car number 7, and his nickname of the "Iceman" I'm sure you can think of something creative for his shoe design!

Once you go to the link, you'll get some pictures with 4 views of the shoes, so you can make your designs on them, like a coloring book, and then submit to enter the contest. The deadline is coming up on June 1st, so don't wait! After picking a winner and getting the shoes made, Kimi will wear them in a race, and then the shoes will be auctioned off to benefit a charity.
