September

Lemons Racing, www.24hoursoflemons.com

Happy September! Maybe this month reminds you that summer just might end some day! If you're near the hurricane in Texas and Louisiana, I hope the rest of the month is better too. Here at the NMS World Headquarters we've got a HUGE month. No, it's not 50 days long or anything, but this month is the highlight of 2017 for NMS, as Brian and the team of Lemons drivers get ready to race on the 16th and 17th. They will be actually (no we're not making this up) racing their 70s Dodge Coronet in awesome PLUM CRAZY color on a track against other heaps of junk and rust. Over the two days at Carolina Motorsports Park, they mostly hope that the car keeps running, stays safe, and doesn't self destruct. They've put a lot of work and sweat into this thing, so we're going to have a lot of fun.

If you can't get to the track and watch the action most of Saturday and most of Sunday, then head for downtown Camden SC on Friday night for the big Lemons block party. All the drivers and crazy cars will be on display, so that should be a fun and FREE (our favorite flavor) evening. You can find out more info on this event on our DRIVING SCHEDULE page, which has links to all the action.

Other than the Lemons race, there will be the usual NMS team attending car shows, autocross, and the rally cross in the dirt in SC on the 24th at Midway Motorsports Park, in Midway SC too. Also as always, there is plenty of other car racing all over the world, like this weekend's Formula 1 race from Monza Italy, the IndyCar race from Watkins Glen New York, and NASCAR back in action at the Track Too Tough To Tame in Darlington SC.

Enjoy the Labor Day weekend and stay safe.
