NMS Results from April Autocross

That 66 Mini makes my car look pretty big!

In the first autocross of 2016 with the Old Dominion Region of the SCCA, the NMS #77 FIAT managed to take 2nd in the GS class, because that sounds a lot better than "last". However, in PAX time compared to all 69 drivers, I managed a reasonable 22nd, so in the top 33%. On strictly RAW time I was 32nd, so just in the top 50%, so I'll say that's not bad. Plenty of room for improvement too, but overall not bad. If I can still mention "fastest Italian car of the day", then that sounds pretty cool too! Full results are on line at this link: APRIL ODR RESULTS LINK

The view from where I worked on course. Just add cars!

The ODR folks published their course map the day before the event, so here's a look at that and a video from my final run of the day. VIDEO LINK

The start line is in the lower right corner, and the route of travel follows the green line around and through the orange cones. After making the loop at the top of the map, the green line turns into purple so that you can see where it travels the same line downwards (in reverse) of the first time green going upwards. You can click on the map to see a larger image too.

66 BARRACUDA! Because AUTOCROSS!

Weather for this day was nice and NOT raining, so driving on the dry pavement was a blast on my new Bridgestone RE71R tires. I've got a few weeks before the next autocross event on the 24th, and then the ODR will be back in action at Pungo on May 2nd.

Love To Autocross!
