| NMS #386 Nissan 350Z |
Hey, it's almost the weekend! This weekend the NMS team will be driving on track at Carolina Motorsports Park! As our closest and most favorite track in South Carolina (surprise, the only track in South Carolina, not counting NASCAR at Darlington,) it will be fun to not have to travel too far and just get out there and do some driving!

| Hmmm. This appears to be a shiny new exhaust system. Installation time! |
Before hitting the track, this week has had both cars getting some TLC to get ready. Down at NMS-South, the Nissan 350Z had an early Christmas, with Brian installing a new exhaust system, new front sway bar and control arms, a bit of vinyl wrap on the mirrors, and an alignment. Look for the NMS Nissan to be driving in DE4 and Brian to be on track instructing some DE1 students.

Over at NMS-North, the NMS Cayman received a brake fluid flush, Ferodo brake pads up front, and a double check of all the fluids. The #4 Cayman will be driving in DE3, so for some of the weekend both drivers will be on track at the same time, since groups 3 and 4 are combined.

OK, I have to confess I made a mistake in the middle of my brake pad and brake fluid jobs. I had the pressure on the fluid pumped up and removed the front right brake pads. Normally not a big deal, BUT, with the pressure on, that immediately pushed the pistons in the brake caliper all the way OUT, making it impossible to put the new pads in to a very small opening. I figured this out, and took the pressure off the fluid, pushed the pistons back in, and finished the job. Hopefully I won't make this same mistake again!

With cool mornings in the 50s, we're looking for some quick times out there once the tires are warmed up! This should be our last track event of the year, so what a great way to finish off October and get into November on Sunday. Don't forget to change your clocks Saturday night!
