FOUR THINGS: 1-Join Our F1 Fantasy League: 2-Drive to Survive: 3- F1 2025!!!

Time to break out the F1 gear! Go McLaren!

The NMS squad is once again hosting an F1 Fantasy League on the official www.Formula1.com website, and we'll give you 100 MILLION DOLLARS to join! No, really, you get 100 million US dollars in fantasy money to pick your five fantasy drivers and two fantasy teams! Sorry, it's fantasy money, but that's the best we can do! Whadaya want, fantasy crypto coins? I'm still confused by that stuff, do you spend crypto coins in your crypto?

Another big item this week is that on Friday March 7th, the new season of Drive to Survive started on Netflix. No, we're not giving you money to subscribe to Netflix, so maybe you can find some money in your car or your couch cushions if you don't already subscribe. I highly recommend this show if you have any interest in F1, and even if you don't! The show has brought a lot of new fans into the F1 world, and I'd have to guess that this year's season will continue their routine of showing us some behind the scenes activities of Formula 1, the drivers, the teams, and even some of the competition on track from last year.

Beyond the Fantasy league and TV show, the real Formula 1 also just started, with the first race of 2025 down under in Australia. The good news is that a new season is kicking off, and the not-so-good news is that the race in Australia starts about midnight here on the US east coast. Oh well, you can always sleep some other time, or just catch it on a replay or on the F1 app.

Your F1 weekends typically have three practice sessions, with two on Friday and one on Saturday, and then qualifying Saturday to set the grid for the race on Sunday. Following last year's title by driver Max Verstappen of Red Bull, we'll be seeing if he can keep winning and take  his 5th consecutive title this year. Team wise, the McLaren team managed to take the overall title win last year, so their two drivers are back for more. Both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will also be gunning for the driver's title.

One final tidbit that we pretty much already knew, is that the Cadillac Formula 1 team has now been officially accepted to race starting in 2026. Along with the Haas team, that gives the USA two teams in Formula 1, so we're really looking forward to this.
